52 Projects – Wk 8 + 9 – Monthly Scrapbook

As I missed last week’s 52 Projects, this week is a double page scrapbook to make up for it!  I have been working on this one for a couple of weeks and hoped to finish the first page in time for Week 8’s project.  But, no such luck!

Every month for this year, I am doing a scrapbook page on the most significant thing for that month.  Last month it was about Eating In Colour and committing to healthy eating.

In February, the most wonderful thing for the month, was becoming engaged to D.

The first scrapbook page shows the progression of photos D took on automatic showing my smile getting bigger and bigger!!

The second page has my blog post describing the events of the day inserted into the pocket.

I have a perhaps 3 more pages that I would like to do using the photos from the day.  Two on the amazing scenery that we were surrounded by – the beach, the rocks, the water, the islands.  I am really enjoying the process and look forward to starting.

PS.  I have found this week, a project using canvas that I want to do.  I’ve never worked with canvas before.  I can’t wait to try!

I've thought off and on about keeping scrapbooks but I never have. I do like to pull out the old box o' junk every now and then to rekindle memories.

Thanks Kablooey

Hi Diana - its a well worthwhile thing to do. Just take it one little bit at a time. There are so many techniques and ideas out there it can get overwhelming. I just get an idea for something, often by seeing a page in a book and find a way to do it. Sometimes with old techniques I've learnt, sometimes with a new one!

Faerwillow - I look forward to being able to show our children these magical moments in our lives!

Mr. B - you gotta have the old box o'junk full of memories - I have that too!!!
