I’m back!! Finally!! My last 52 Projects was Week 13, so it has been a while.
I have written about some of what’s been going on over the last few weeks in both this blog and my conception blog. But of course, a lot has been left out. It’s just been one of those times when everything becomes overwhelming and it’s just enough to get through the days.
But I am really glad to feel that I have some headspace for other things at the moment and hope I am back to my usual weekly posting!
Two weeks ago, D and I decided we would commit to a great project of bushwalking and photographing our hikes every weekend. Just a 5 minute drive from our home is a wonderful conservation park with amazing tracks of all levels of hiking – from easy to really serious day hikes! Which means that no matter how we are feeling or what we have on, we can choose one that is appropriate for the day.
Last weekend was our second hike and we decided to go adventurous!! We hiked down and down and down until we reached the creek below. We took a picnic lunch, enjoyed photographing and walking around by the creekside and about an hour later began the UP!!
It turned out to be not as hard as I thought it would be. Or maybe I am fitter than I thought I was!! I like the last one better! hahaha! Anyway, from being worried about how I would go, I ended up loving the uphill hike. I can’t wait to do it again!
I was disappointed with my photos. I think a lot of it as to do with the new camera and learning about it more. But there were some okay ones. And they are still a wonderful memory of this bushwalking photography project.
We were mostly surrounded by greenery, but there was one patch that was completely bare. It was surreal!
I love the droplets of water on the leaves in this one.
I shot this one because of the birdhouse in the tree! You may remember my previous birdhouse project. The rangers have put many of these birdhouses throughout the conservation park. It is great when you spot one! Though I have yet to see any birdies fly out of them.
The cliff face at the bottom - next to the creek.
Look carefully – the rock climbers climbing up the cliffs! Insane!!!
And finally, the creek itself. The reflections that day were amazing! Crystal clear! D has one photo of just the reflection itself and it simply looks like an upside down photo of the cliffs, it is that clear and smooth.

Welcome back!! And wow, these pictures are amazing. That's 5 minutes from your house? How terrific. Also, congrats on being fitter than you thought.
Those are great pictures. I'd love to climb those rock cliffs or take a dip in the creek How deep is it?

Hi all. We had a great time thats for sure! Thanks for your comments.
Mr. B - at the moment the creek isn't deep at all. But funny you should say that, because while we there, a teenage couple came down as well and the boy was telling the girl how it used to be much deeper and they would jump off the cliffs! There was also a rope attached to a strong branch that you could swing out on and jump in. They still swung out on it, but it wasn't deep enough to jump in!
Shelle - I'll change my link for you to the dancing matilda!
