Once again, I have gotten behind on my 52 Projects. Sheeezzz!! So, with a week of holidays, my goal is to finish off all the little half done projects that I have on the go and post two a week to catch up.
This week is my outdoor setting project and my ribbon project.
Outdoor Setting
One - take a tired old outdoor setting and strip it back.
Two - give it a good sanding, both with the electric sander and by hand.
Three - give it a good undercoat with the discounted paint that I got because the guy at Bunnings mucked up the colour. Bargain!
Four - paint in the brightest, funnest, happiest colours you can find.
And... walllah...! A fun, happy, setting to brighten up the back yard!
(The light was not in a good place when I took the photo and the colours are actually a lot brighter, but you get the idea!)
Ribbons
Many weeks ago I began this project. Many, many weeks ago I bought the ribbon boards! But here it is finally.
This project taught me a final lesson in the importance of the paint quality. Needless to say, the Cheaps and Chips paint went in the bin, along with the failed attempt and the proper craft paint finished off the job!
This job will allow me to actually see what ribbons I have and will make it easier to do all sorts of projects, including my scrapbooking.
I painted the ribbon holders in a variety of colours to match the ribbons. And held the end of the ribbons in place with matching colour paper clips. With such a variety of ribbon styles it didn't always turn out to be the beautifully neat look that I wanted, but compared to the before shot... well, take a look!
Before
After
I've ended up with 12 boards so far. I had to do more colours than I originally had done. And I also had to do repeat colours. I had a lot more ribbons than I thought!
A Fun Photo!
R deciding the box filled with ribbons was a really comfortable place to squeeze into and sleep in!

I love your projects! The furniture is so bright and happy and the ribbons look great too!
Love the colors.. .they are so vibrant and happy. I have a box like that with yarn. Maybe I should follow in your steps :)
My kind of furniture. Love the colours. Just makes you happy to look at the pieces. What a great idea for organizing ribbon. So much easier to find!
